Bacon wrapped dates
Bacon wrapped dates are a gateway drug to full on tapa addiction. This version, with blue cheese inside will turn you into a junkie in no time.
Serves 12: scales well.
Mise en Place
Staples
- 6 stripsbacon, cut in half
- 1/4 cupcreamy blue cheese
Equipment
- 12skewers, soaked
- 1oven, 400
Directions
- in each date, cut slit in dates and take out pits. insert 1 almond and a small bit of cheese
- wrap each date in bacon
- put a skewer through each date
- bake 20-25 minutes, turning once
- serve and eat
